Occupation of Arts Building and Burnside Hall Lobby (March 2022)
Beginning on March 7th, 2022, Divest McGill members occupied the Arts Building of McGill University. This 12-day occupation was the longest in the university's history. #OccupyMcGill 2.0 happened in Burnside Hall Lobby March 24-25th before the 2022 World Climate Strike on March 25th. This series of occupations reinforced a solidarity movement based on climate justice, Indigenous sovereignty and true democracy that continues to build today.
